ARKHIVE is a personal memory and action companion. You can text it, call it, send a voice memo or photo, or use the web app to capture what matters and help it become useful later.
The information you trust us with can be personal, reflective, and sensitive. Our default posture is simple: your data is yours, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
This policy applies to the ARKHIVE web application, marketing site, iMessage / SMS features, voice features, and related services (together, "ARKHIVE" or the "Service"). By using ARKHIVE, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Who we are
ARKHIVE ("we", "our", "us") is the operator of the Service available at arkhive.space and app.arkhive.space. If you have questions, requests, or concerns about privacy, email [email protected].
2. Our privacy promises
- You own your data. Your captures, conversations, profile, artifacts, reminders, and generated outputs are your context. You can ask us to export or delete them.
- We do not train models on your personal data. We do not use your captures, conversations, photos, voice recordings, transcripts, artifacts, reminders, or profile to train ARKHIVE models or third-party AI models.
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data for advertising, data brokerage, or cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Your data is private by policy. The ARKHIVE team does not browse, read, or listen to your personal content as part of ordinary operations.
- Support access is limited. If you report a bug, ask for support, or explicitly give permission, we may review only the relevant content needed to investigate or fix the issue. We try to work from metadata and your description where possible.
- Your data is protected. We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and operational safeguards designed for a product built around personal context.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal content to train AI models. We do not share your personal information for advertising or data brokerage.
5. AI processing
The core of ARKHIVE involves processing what you share with us using AI models. To make the Service work, we may send relevant content and context to third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf. This can include your captures, messages, photos or image-derived text, voice transcripts, profile information, prior artifact versions, reminders, and related context.
Our AI service providers are not allowed to use your personal content to train their models. Where available, we use provider settings or contractual commitments designed to prevent training and limit retention.
For sensitive AI operations, our default analytics posture is to avoid sending prompt and completion bodies into observability tools. In limited debugging or reliability workflows, ARKHIVE may retain or inspect relevant AI inputs and outputs when needed to understand a bug, improve safety, or support a specific user issue. Team access to personal content is limited by policy to support, bug reports, explicit permission, security, or legal necessity.
AI output is probabilistic and may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. You should not rely on AI-generated output as a substitute for your own judgment, especially for decisions that matter.
6. iMessage, SMS, photos, voice, and calls
ARKHIVE offers optional features that let you interact through iMessage, SMS, voice memos, photos, and calls.
Opt-in. Messaging and voice features are off by default. To enable them, you link or verify your phone number or handle. You can ask us to turn these features off, and you can opt out of messages by replying STOP or by emailing [email protected].
What we ingest. We process the messages, photos, voice memos, calls, and attachments you send to ARKHIVE or initiate with ARKHIVE. We do not read, scrape, import, or otherwise access conversations between you and other people, and we do not access your device's message history.
What we store. We may store message content, attachments, transcripts, extracted text, image descriptions, related metadata, your phone number or handle, delivery information, and timestamps. Captured content is processed by our AI features in the same way as content created in the app.
Messages and calls we send. If enabled, ARKHIVE may send service-related replies, verification codes, reminders, nudges, confirmations, check-ins, call scheduling messages, and other follow-through messages connected to your use of the Service. We do not send third-party marketing or promotional SMS / iMessage messages.
Availability. Messaging and voice features may be limited by geography, device, provider availability, and account eligibility.
Reviewing and deleting messages. You can review ingested content inside the app where available. To delete specific ingested messages, voice transcripts, photos, attachments, or related content, email [email protected]. When you delete your account, we delete your content along with the rest of your account data, subject to the retention notes below.
7. Service providers and sharing
We rely on third-party service providers to deliver the Service. These include providers of hosting and infrastructure, databases and storage, authentication, AI models, speech-to-text and voice services, messaging delivery, email delivery, analytics, observability, security, and support tooling.
These providers process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide, secure, monitor, and improve ARKHIVE. We require service providers to protect personal information and restrict how they may use it.
We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect ARKHIVE and our users from harm or fraud, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets. If ownership or use of your personal information materially changes, we will provide notice where required.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for advertising, data brokerage, or cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Cookies, local storage, and analytics
ARKHIVE uses cookies and similar browser storage where needed to run the Service, such as keeping you signed in, remembering interface preferences, preserving onboarding state, supporting sign-in, and maintaining security.
We use limited analytics and observability to understand whether the Service is working, improve reliability, measure feature use, diagnose errors, and protect against abuse. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use session replay. We do not allow third-party advertising networks to track you through ARKHIVE.
You can clear cookies through your browser at any time. Doing so may sign you out or reset local preferences.
9. How long we keep your information
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can ask us to export or delete your data by emailing [email protected].
When you delete an artifact, capture, message, attachment, transcript, or your account, we remove the associated content from active systems. Residual copies may persist temporarily in routine backups, logs, caches, or provider systems before being overwritten or expired. Information that has been aggregated or anonymized so it can no longer reasonably be linked to you may be retained longer.
Some operational records may be kept for a limited period where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, billing, debugging, or to honor deletion and opt-out requests.
10. How we protect your information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, restricted production access, provider review, and ongoing security practice review.
No system is perfectly secure. We will notify affected users and regulators of material security incidents as required by applicable law.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and using a strong, unique password.
11. International transfers
ARKHIVE and our service providers operate primarily in the United States. If you access ARKHIVE from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where required, these transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including under GDPR, UK GDPR, and the CCPA / CPRA, you may have rights regarding your information, including the right to know, access, correct, delete, export, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, opt out of certain sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on legal bases including performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations.
To exercise privacy rights, request an export, request deletion, report a privacy concern, or ask us to turn off messaging or voice features, email [email protected]. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on your request.
13. Children
ARKHIVE is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, give you notice through the Service or by email.
15. Contact
